Also known as "Funkadelics", Anouk Aumont is a pen and ink artist originally from southern California. Born into a French family of artists, Aumont is self-taught in all medias she uses.  Inspired by naturalism, simplicity, and things that may appear mundane, a major pursuit of Aumont’s art is the embodiment of femininity and the exploration of sexual energy. As a student of psychology, Aumont targets the unrealistic expectations and deteriorative pressures put on young women by social media and other aspects of society. Aumont’s work promotes body acceptance, encourages young women to revolt against conformity and expectation, and lessens the taboo of female sexuality.  Aumont's art is distinctive through her advocacy for women, her humorous creativity, and her skills in portraying beauty in simple things.
